Vision-AI Rebar Counter
TURAN
Counts by camera, verifies by AI, separates at speed
Counts rebar on the conveyor in real time; triggers separation automatically when the bundle target is reached.

- ≥99.8 %
- Over 99.8% counting accuracy
- 2 errors per 1,000 on 8 mm
- 8–50 mm
- 8–50 mm diameter range
- Diameter is selected from the operator screen
- Automatic counting and separation
- Servo is triggered when the bundle target is reached
- Remote monitoring and reporting
- Web-based panel, historical records
TURAN takes over pre-bundling counting in steelworks. It identifies bars in the 8–50 mm range according to the selected diameter; the running total, grand total and bundle count are kept on screen. When the bundle target is reached it slows the conveyor and triggers the servo-driven separation mechanism. All counts are recorded historically, monitored remotely from a web-based panel and reported. Because the count is shared with the PLC, line control runs from a single point.
How it works
Five steps from image to report.
- 01
Imaging
The camera above the conveyor captures passing rebar at a high frame rate.
- 02
Analysis
The AI model processes the image; sensitivity and positional offset values are applied according to the selected diameter.
- 03
Counting
Each bar is marked individually; the running total, grand total and bundle count are updated.
- 04
Separation
When the bundle target is reached the conveyor slows and the servo-driven separation mechanism operates.
- 05
Recording and reporting
Counts are recorded; monitored remotely and reported from the web-based panel.
